It finally happened - I broke out laughing during my newscast...
Because of this story.
(Nfld-Arsonist)
A Newfoundland arsonist is back in prison after some bad judgement during a brief parole.
Lloyd George Francis of St. John's is nicknamed Sparky because of his fascination with fire.
He was out on parole after serving nine years of a 13-year sentence.
But he went to a fire safety parade and swore at a police officer. (12)

I didn't know it was there...noticed I was a bit short and figured "Okay I'll read this last one." I held it together choking back my words once...then at the end I broke out laughing. Luckily we went to commercial....I settled down during the spot. Then we came back I started reading sports....and BROKE out in uncontrolable laughter. I quickly skipped to the weather and started coughing and stuff...then the humour of what was happening hit me and I broke out again.... I finish the cast laughing really hard while trying to say "You're up to date...next news at one."

Man, I booted it out for lunch right after in case my station manager wanted to kill me. I laughed all lunch and when I go tback he saw me and just started chuckling to himself.

2. Yeah....
I held it okay a few days ago during a story about a woman starting a support group for those abducted by aliens...but Sparky going to a fire safety parade and swearing at a cop was too much.

3. I got the giggles the other day and I still haven't quite recovered
I was having dinner with 2 of my friends who are mommies and their kids. I don't have kids, so I am a little more prone to hysteria when they do those things that kids do - well, Isabella, age 3, really likes salad dressing, and she picked up the bottle of Annies Green Goddess dressing and, starting at the bottom of the bottle, licked it all the way up to the top - mind you, this was at someone else's house. It was so totally inappropriate and I know that you aren't supposed to laugh but I was hysterical. And then every few minutes I would remember and start laughing again - I had no control. It was so funny it hurt.

But at least I wasn't on live! ;)

5. What exactly occurs at a fire safety parade?
Beyond that, why is there a parade for this in the first place?

8. Well,my boss just chuckles every time I walk past
I think he thought it was pretty funny. Just before my one o'clock cast the DJ said..."Let's see if Jeremy Can get through THIS cast."

I almost broke out again
