I've been watching 'The Power of Myth' all day

My PBS station is showing it for the millionth time.

for the good old days.

when there was a chance of learning from our history, and integrating those myths from the greater lessons of time.

I miss terribly great minds like Joseph Campbell's.

We could use more of those influences as we witness the harrowing demise of our culture.

Oh nevermind. . . what about Scott Peterson and jacko when we've killed 100,000 Iraqi's, some of them undoubtedly pregnant and sexually abused countless innocents.

Sorry I'm just mourning the demise of our culture. It's so sad.

I should truly get a life.

Great man. Period.

Wish he was still around, although I suspect he'd be saddened by the state of the world.

6. I had never heard of Joseph Campbell

Until I met my husband 6 years ago. I now know why Gryphon, my husband, thinks so highly of him. The world truly NEEDS more Josheph Campbells.

7. Better tape it. The way things are going at PBS, they will

pull it if it doesn't follow the neocon party line. Shows like that are a threat to happiness of the citizenry. Double Plus Ungood.
