Members of my family lives in a small incorporated city. There has been an ongoing sewage problem with the city for years. As a result of this sewage problem, my relatives have raw sewage frequently in their yard.
The city's officials refuse to deal with the problem...keep putting the property owners off...delaying on the basis that they can't afford to fix it now, but will soon. Years have passed, promises have been made, but NOTHING has been done. Meanwhile, my relatives aren't able to enjoy full use of their property because of the contaminated soil.
Should the raw sewage (fecal matter, toilet paper, feminine hygiene products, condoms, etc.) that is frequently obvious in these property owners' yard be reported to the Department of Environmental Quality? What will happen if it is reported?
