and will you share with the rest of the class, Mr. Taverner?

9. Saw her daughter AJ singing in Hoboken
She is quite a talented singer in her early 30's who got a late start professionally because she didn't want to be compared to her Mom or grandfather. She sings as AJ Azzarto, her married name. You can catch her once in a while at the Golden Hawk.

And that's just what they'll do!

She was a babe in the 1960s, and decided to speak words rather than sing them, but she did put a cool womens' lib twist on some sexist Turtles and Beatles songs. So she ain't all that bad... :D

12. My son DJ'd for her daughter's wedding party
Edited on Sat Dec-04-04 08:55 AM by Jersey Devil
Her daughter AJ got married on the west coast but had a reception in Hoboken (where AJ lives) for all her friends there. Nancy sang a few songs at the reception and my son said it was cool.

14. Lee and Nancy
made some interesting story/music together.

'Elusive Dreams.' I think many of us can identify with elusive dreams.

And 'Phaedra', what does it mean?

"Some Velvet morning when I'm straight I'm gonna open up your gate and maybe tell you 'bout Phaedra and how she made it in and how she gave me life."

Their performance is reminiscent of boy/girl duets common when I was a little boy down in Alabama long ago.

This is an elusive post!

my summer wine is really made from all these things.

I love that song.

The production on it rocks. A full orchestra with fiddles and ever' thang.

24. She played LA Pride a few years back.
Them queenes went nuts!

I called my mom on my cell phone so she could hear her.

She puts on a great show.

I love that people like Nancy Sinatra and Mary Wilson still give it up for their fans.

23. Just for fun...
Lets try and start a Nancy Sinatra Appreciation Group over in the group forums...

All we need are ten people with stars next to their names, a mission statement, and someone brave enough to propose this crazy idea to the Mods.

What do you all say? Lets have a Nancy Sinatra Group.

Who wants to second the motion?;)

27. One last hearty kick.
Just to drum up a little support for the Nancy Sinatra Appreciation Society. ;)

:kick:

We only need nine more Duers with gold stars to get the group going.

But seriously, if anyone else was interested in starting a Classic Pop Music group...say like oldies, vintage rock, R&B from the days of Don Cornelius, I'd certainly second that emotion.

Otherwise, so long babe...
