What is is with the male part of the human race latly???? Just because I'm chubby they thing I'll go to bed with any of them????? Good god! I do like to get to know a guy first! What happen to dating w few times first! Is that so much to ask!!!!

It's just tough anymore to find men out there who aren't just looking for some action.

And it's no easier for us guys who are out there looking for an honest, decent relationship with long-term potential. It took me until just over a year ago, when I was 33, to find a truly good woman. I suffered through a LOT of depression and heartbreak to get to her.

Be patient and believe in yourself and all that you have to offer the right man. He will come along eventually. It may take a lot longer than you want it to, but better late than never!

The one time I did have sex on the first date was in 1990 (we had gotten to know each a little before this though). It resulted in marriage 10 months later and we're still together after 13 years.
However, NO, it is not too much to ask. You have to be in charge. 99% of the time, men are usually ready, but if they have any sense, they will make you want to seduce them on your terms.

such as myself , but if lover boy isn't willing to develope a solid relationship beforehand, then he's not worth your time and effort. We all make bad choices (lord knows I've made my share), but don't give up on the male of the species yet. And I don't think being "chubby" has anything to do with it, the guy's just a pig. Keep looking. We nice, level headed guys are out here, we're just a little sickened of the games ourselves.

i'd be a priest....the whole dating scene is sick.
I have a friend who is a committted bachelor, he's 33 now i think. And he has NO regets about it....i envy that type of independence.

I am light years away from having women assume that I will have sex with them any time they want. What a thing to complain about. And cancelling a date by e-mail - I had a woman cancel a date by not showing up!!! I blame myself. That was my last date, back in 1998. Since then, not counting internet liaisons, I am only 0-4. I need to meet more women so I can get rejected more. Well, at least employers are still rejecting me.

Including myself The last time I checked many of them were members of the Democratic Party and many go to church. I think men need to re invent themselfes for the 21st centry as women have done and are continuing to do.

My advice to you is to just turn the tables and inform him that when you are ready to go to sleep with him you will let him know in the meantime he can romance you. If he romances you then he is interested.People who will sleep with dates on the first date unless they are like longtime friends their relationships will proberly not last long.

Has nothing to do with your essential humanity. So keep your chin up. You come across as a wonderful, very charming person online. No reason that's not true in real space as well.

We guys can be scurvy dogs sometimes, but we also can be sincere and honest -- and we usually are some combination in-between. Just like women.

We also get so many mixed messages and "yesnoyes" stuff....Would you be offended or hurt if you went out with men and they never wanted to touch or have any physical relationship with you?

With the exception of those who are lucky enough to find a long-term soulmate, most of us on both sides of the Mars/Venus divide have to go through a lot of nonsense if we put ourselves out there in the dating pool. Of you want to avoid it, just let that relationship stuff go and stay single and monklike -- or nunlike. Unfortunately, there's not a way to avoid the mishaps and buttheads otherwise.
