I'm channeling my parents i swear. I say to my daughter "Shut the door I'm not working for the electric company you know." "Stop sitting so close to the television, you'll hurt your eyes." and the icing on the cake "Look at this room, you weren't raised in a barn!"

I really need a vacation.

5. The ultimate one from my Mom that sticks with me the most

and i never quite understood it was "Your room looks like the hell hole of Calcutta! When she said that i new my room must look really bad.

8. The other Mom-ism I do is calling my kids the wrong names.

Sometimes I even call my younger daughter by my younger sister's name (my mother says that's a deeply ingrained association with my sister as "youngest female child in the family"). It's sickness.
