Anybody See 'Hotel Berlin'?
This gem was made in 1945
directed by Peter Godfrey

Plot Summary for
Hotel Berlin (1945)

Near the end of WW II, a member of the German underground (Martin Richter) escapes from the Gestapo and takes shelter at Hotel Berlin, where he meets Lisa Dorn, a sleek actress involved with General von Dahnwitz, who is also trying to leave Germany. The hotel is a hotbed of Nazis, refugees, spies and ordinary Germans trying to survive inevitable defeat without getting too involved.

1. I couldn't recall it
So I did some research. Helmut Dantine, Peter Lorre, Raymond Massey - How could I have missed this one?! And the story was written by the same author who wrote Grand Hotel. If I did see it, it must have been years ago. Hope it's on tv soon.

There's a classic movie forum here at DU now. Maybe some of those folks have seen it. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=254

2. Thanks!
Since I'm not a donor yet, I can't post in the DU Groups forum yet. The movie was aired on Turner Classics a couple days before the election, really early in the morning here in Boston.
