Cats are just moody little shits!
Edited on Sun Nov-28-04 06:34 PM by Moonbeam_Starlight
Here are the kinds of things my cat does to me:

1. She is a moody little cuss. Somedays, she loves a kiss on her forehead. Other days, like this MORNING, if I go to kiss her, she BITES THE SHIT out of me. As in bites my LOWER lip. So that I have a cut on the inside and outside of my lower lip. You just never know when to be affectionate to her. She has a mood disorder.

2. At night, we sleep with the dog in our bedroom and we shut the bedroom door so the dog won't wander around at night, tearing up shit, eating the cat's food, etc. Well, if I shut the door before the cat is in the room, she beats at the door and meows REALLY loudly until I open it up. At which time she walks away, swishing her little kitty ass this way and that, as if to say "Nevermind now."

If I open the door and she actually comes in, if I make a move to shut the door too soon, she RUNS back out the door before I can shut it. So then I have to wait again. DAMN CAT.

3. Once the whole DRAMA of the door is resolved and both animals are in our room and the door is shut, she's got to stand right on top of me while I'm trying to watch a movie on TV or something. Stare me in the face. Purr at 37 decibels so I have to turn the TV up and risk waking up my husband, who gets up at 4 am.

4. Once I give her some attention and get her to stop standing on me, she curls up right in my armpit and demands that I not move. So turning over requires moving the cat, turning over, then having her stare at me with a go to hell look for a bit, then curling back up in my armpit. Ever had a cat walk on your head? Or step on your hair, pulling it? Or sneeze in your face?

Ug. I could go on, but I won't. She's a serious baitch of a cat. But we love her. Why, I have no idea.

On edit: I forgot the vomiting. I swear she does it on purpose. She hates the dog, so she yaks on the dog's bed in the living room every chance she gets. She also loves to yak in my SHOES. I know she's done something particularly bad if my husband comes in the room, so mad his eyes have gone all Marty Feldman-ish, demanding to know JUST HOW LONG CATS LIVE.

1. Yes, they are! I have a cat whom I love like that, MS, with no
discernable rational reason.

This is Daddy (last summer when he had a cut on his foot)

(...he's still trying to shake off that bandage, by the way, even though it was removed three months ago)

He is the biggest little shit on the planet. His favorite food is whatever YOU are eating. He is super-aggressive and dominates all the others -- leading to 3:00 AM growling, howling and fighting (oh, my).

But I love him so! He's one of the cat loves of my life. My sweet Daddy Cat.

2. You're a sucker for punishment my dear
and I must be, too. I do enjoy her in the morning because she's feeling all snuggly and we snuggle together and snooze. But then she'll just randomly bite the shit out of me.

By the way, that look on Daddy's face? SAME exact look Clarissa gives. Same one. Same "make my fucking day" look.

3. Believe it or not, that's not quite what he's saying...
He's making biscuits on that thing he's standing on. That's his "if you hadn't neutered me, I'd be doing something ELSE right now... purr... purr... purr..." look.

4. Regarding sneezes...

I have one cat who will come up behind me while I'm on the comp and sit on the back of the chair. She will then sneeze directly on the back of my neck.

I am absolutely positive she does this on purpose.

I have started looking for here each time I feel a sneeze coming on so I can give her the proper payback she deserves :)

5. She sounds like my parrot, Zoe.
I think our pets are manic depressive and/or are "special needs" pets. :D

12. Except the door to outside...they'll want out
then stand there sniffing the air forever making sure it's safe to go out.

13. yes, that's what two of mine do. But then again there is a dog next
door who sometimes comes over on to my property and they are very afraid of the dog coming next to my deck.
