Okay, who's here? ROLL CALL!
I'm here, working today and so of course I'm on DU. Who else is here, and are you at work or posting at home in pj's with a turkey hangover?

4. I'm here.
I'm posting from somebody else's home, in sweats and a T-shirt, with no hangover at all thanks to my morning greenery, and a big skillet o' sausage gravy on the stove awaiting biscuits upon which to be schmeared and consumed. I ALWAYS forget to put the damned biscuits in the oven before I start the gravy. Stupid multitasking and cooking-related scavery!

28. I suspect yer suspecting correctly.
Just imagine yer frying up some scrapple, right, but instead of slicing it into slices, you crumble it in the pan and brown it like you're browning beef for chili or something. Then once it's cooked, you take the meat out and use the grease in the pan to add flour and make a slurry kinda thing. Then you thicken it 'til it's just right, and start adding milk to make a pasty, gooey, arterty-thickeningly wonderful goo. Then you stir the meat back into it, glop some on a biscuit (which you might wanna call a "roll" up there), and lose yourself in breffus-consumptive bliss. :9

133. scrapple is the stuff
that doesn't quite make the cut to be included in "sausage." It's very tasty. Kinda almost like a slightly-bacon-flavored sausage-type product, with some crunchy, tooth-squicky portions that you hafta try to ignore.

Much like hot dogs, you don't want to know what's in scrapple, but it's delicious fried with maple syrup. Some people say with ketchup. Those people are communists.

11. Actually, you won't get the full-on barrage of hilarity
that you would normally get because there's nobody here. It's running super-slow today, threads aren't moving at all. Usually it moves at a pace similar to GD.

So if you're bored today, give it another shot on a day when there's actually people in here. We're funny as hell and we don't bite! (unless you're into that sort of thing.)

42. Why do you think I call myself Frozen Hamster?
Edited on Fri Nov-26-04 10:25 AM by Frozen Hamster
Seriosly, untill recently it was fackin' cold, the average temperature about 12°C in the summertime, much much colder during the winter. During the last 7-10 years the weather has been getting wierder and wierder. Regularly >20°C in the summer, winters with little or no snow and so on and so on. I blame the USA, since I usually blame it for everything else.

Edit: Well I'm off to class. :hi:

So 12°C is about 54°F and 20°C is about 68°F

17. Reporting in from the Arkansas Ozarks
a good fire in the wood burning stove, the cats have been fed turkey leftovers, the dog is mad because we won't let him have the bones, and my husband has to go to the neighbor's to fix their car. Since he's a traveling mechanic, I guess that means he's working today. I don't go back to the bug company until Monday. We're going to Fayetteville AR tomorrow evening to help lead the Dances of Universal Peace at the Unity Church (anyone in this neck of the woods is invited to attend-starts at 7pm).

to the Hospital Auxilary. We don't have a Salvation Army around here, but the Auxilary uses the profits to buy equipment for the local hospital and patients who can't afford things like wheelchairs, etc. Plus, I buy my clothes there, so I both donate and buy, helping both ways.

61. Oy...Shhh...Too Loud...
I'm here (barely)...we don't observe TG in our house, so we ended up having dinner at the only place we found open. The food was great, the drinks high octane, and the only reason I'm up at all is because the cats demanded to be fed. My noggin is pounding.

Still in PJs, but since I work from home, chances are I'd be in my PJs regardless.

(crawls away} more excedrin...

161. I'm staying
with a relative. I'm a minor, and my furnace screwed up, and it's kinda cold up here in frosty Little Rhody. Apparently, someone's coming to see what's up with it, so I'll be leaving soon.

Cheerio!

169. Just past 1.30am...
...in the UK.

Got in half an hour ago. Pretty drunk, hence all the retarded attention-seeking threads.
