Sushi for Thanksgiving!

I made the choice to boycott thanksgiving for many reasons this year, and I am so glad I made that decision. I went to a little sushi place that happened to be open today, and I was the only customer they had all day. The sushi was essentially served right from the ocean, so it was very fresh and wonderful. So today's catch would not go to waste, they kept on giving me all of this wonderful stuff for no extra charge. I did leave a very generous tip, and the chef and I had a wonderful discussion about Japan.

No family squabbles, Yea!! I am so glad that I took the leap to do this. Did anyone else do something untraditional today?

Maybe I'll do that next year, patronize a local restaurant that may lose business because of "American" values.
