Post your favorite album cover.
Here's mine:

It's Chris De Burgh's 'Best Moves', a compliation album he released years before his "Lady In Red" heyday. It's hard to tell fromthe picture, but Chris is playing chess with himself; a reference to a cool song on the album called "Spanish Train".

Let's see your favorites.

15. Also because it's one of my favorite albums

Nancy Wilson looks incredible and I love the way that Cannonball Adderly is leering at her. Jazz fans: Do yourself a favor and listen to this album. Your local library is bound to have it.

17. You're thinking of Mary Wilson from the Supremes.
Yes, she was the hottest one.

Nancy Wilson was a jazz/pop singer for Capitol through most of the the 60s and 70s. She now hosts a jazz show on public radio.

23. I guess I was just a horny young guy, but
I could have fallen for all three on this cover. I did like Lou Donaldson too.

Zappa had a lot of good covers, Here's two examples

This one was perfect for the content of the album.

this Alice Cooper cover came from a painting hanging in Frank Zappa's home. Zappa was the one who groomed Alice for success. I saw the first performance of his song, "I'm eighteen" and knew he was going to make it big. That night it was as if alice's feet never touched the ground. The change was dramatic. Zappa transformed Alice from a bizarre local band into a headliner.

34. I saw Little Feat in a concert about three months ago...
at an outdoor festival in Tulsa. I actually went to see Monte Montgomery and a few other groups, but came away real impressed with Little Feat. Prior to the show I had heard some of their music but really wasn't too familar with them. I guess one of their bigger songs was "Feet Don't Fail Me Now". If you're not familar with Monte Montgomery you should check out his site. Really an outstanding guitarist...and a good singer.

What a great piece of work, and this pic just goes to show how the *cult of celebrity* has changed. These 2 were the cream of the crop when this was taken, and they couldn't possibly look any more humble and adorable. (Note Ella's housedress and Louis' rolled-down socks :)) Priceless.

I can't post it because it won't fit in my scanner. If you're lucky enough to have the LP, open the cover and look at it from across the room. It's the best album cover ever. Aar!

Also "Umma Gumma" and Leonard Cohens first album.

best song titles ever.
My favorite was probably "The son of a disgruntled x-postal worker reflects on his own life while getting stoned in the parking lot of a Winn Dixie while listening to Metallica" I think I got that right. Or maybe "My Life is a Mediocre Peice of Shit".
