Multi-posters without stars?????

I know it is flame bait. I am weak tonight, bored, forgive me.

Anyway, I have seen some proud DUers with 1000+ posts that lack stars. What gives? Some are not in a position to donate, I am not castigating you people. I understand, I donate monthly and gave again with this quarters drive. But this is the first time I have ever donated to anything. I did so because I can, now that I have a stable job, and because the current political situation woke me up. Not everyone is in my position, and I understand that.:grouphug:

However, I do take issue with those that have multiple posts, those that spend a lot of time here, and don't donate. If your not financially sound, peace, I am not talking about you. If you can afford 10 buck to an outstanding website. Shame on you. Take the plunge, you will feel better.:think:

1. Well, the star is only good for a year.

Consider that many of these posters with huge post counts have been here a long time, and may have contributed at some point, but now be unable (or choose) for some reason not to contribute.

Also, lots of posters who do have stars were given those stars by other DUers because they couldn't afford to contribute right now.

2. It is a really tough economy.

Someone generously donated a star to me. It has made my unemployment and stress a lot more enjoyable. I never assume anything about posters I do not know.
