hubby is in LA and kids are with friends. I have almost soloed a bottle of Australian wine. It's been awhile. I have had prophetic dreams in the past.... really. I saved a cat's life and saw g'ma's death 3 days before it happened. My rooomate's reality was FAR too true, so be warned. It is not pretty sometimes. Most are in dreams

see any good news for the US? I find that all my prophetic dreams are mainly the gloom and doom type..I wonder why that is. Did see my brother's death as well, almost three years before it happened.

11. I'll be honest, I have none

other than last night's dream
'I'm gonna tour the Hawaiian Islands.... a helipopter drops me(my/our jeep) onto a ring in the ocean. It was very similar to our trip to trhe Galapagos...


I am floating on the steaming waters.... the helicopter dropped some (bomb) on the crater...all steam is gone.... the fish are gorgeous. I keep looking up, and down, and the West is bright. I saw streamers.... anyway, I start to get concerned... It is getting fast and bright. I ask the (?) person to help me get my purse and glasses ( haven't needed them for over a year).


Anyway, when I leave the crater there is a landscape of destruction. Piles of magma (my purse - which I got earlier) is on top opf one of the piles, and I need to GET IT.

We attempted to drive through the piles.... then I woke up.

15. Almost a Bottle is Just the Right Amount Sometimes

According to some people, the correct number of bottles of wine for a dinner party is N minus one.

And I've sometimes had prophetic dreams, too. Nothing useful or important, just odd -- things like a coup d'etat in the Maldive islands or almost backing my car into a ditch with a certain driving movement. Just this morning, in fact, I was drinking a coffee outside of a 711 and for some reason started idly thinking that a great way to get revenge on a business who had cheated me was to order a load of sand or topsoil to be dumped out-of-hours right in the middle of their parking lot. (This is a highly unusual thought for me.) After driving to work, I pulled into a spot and not ten seconds later a dump truck pull up and dumps a load of dirt beside me in the parking lot. Synchonicity. Meaningless but striking.

OK, I don't mean to trivialize your gift, just trying to relate to it. But if your dreams are inspired, tell us the path of the Democratic Party the next four years. Please.

you already did one of the most important things, namely relate something to a real-life person or event (the Galapagos trip). What was the story of that trip: Was it a disaster? Did it restorative? Did it start well but end in something disturbing?

You also did another very important thing, namely describe the feeling-tone of your dream. You were luxuriating in the water, then became concerned or alarmed (is that right?) and needed to fetch something personal.

Try free-associating with more elements of the dream. How about the glow? What about the streamers? Does needing your glasses imply something or make you feel a certain way?

The first thing that comes to mind is the Bush election. If you were anticipating a Kerry win that would make you feel wonderful (like floating in the water), the reelection was a violent shock (like the bomb).
