Wow, you think you've got strange phobias?
My co-worker just informed me she can't touch that cardboard they wrap tv dinners in.

She says it makes her cringe and she feels sick.

She just had my boss cook her tv dinner for her.

12. not quite a phobia, but damn petrified of...
parasitic worms that burrow and feast on living skin. dragon eye worms and others just give me the willies. that and freaky spirochete bateria that eats the spongey tissue in the penis making taking a piss as though through an inflamed, fiery sieve also makes me shudder. yeah, death doesn't scare me, parasites scare me.

yeah, if i ever visit the Congo i'll be in a big plastic bubble. i'd advise you to do the same.

15. Remember that guy from St. Elsewhere? Howie Mandel?
He brings his kids to my place of employment, which I won't divulge, and he always wears gloves and won't shake anyone's hand or open a door. He has that germophobia or whatever it's really called! ha!

But he has a good sense of humor about it.

18. It's weird that she can't touch it but she can eat out of it.
But as I know first-hand, phobias rarely make sense.

19. I can't touch cotton balls or velvet
Velour is barely ok, b/c it's a little bit rougher than the other 2. Ugh. Cotton Balls make my whole body tingle and all of my hairs stand on end. It's a yucky feeling.

20. So why doesn't she just bring a sandwich?
I had a co-worker with a very strange phobia. When I worked at my first summer job, I went with my two-coworkers to the wake of an older man who worked with us who had been killed in a car crash. When it came time to sign the guest book, I had to sign it for one of them, since he couldn't sign his name. We've lost touch and I've often wondered if he's been able to overcome this to manage in the real world.

22. Crumbs in the margarine
If I open the tub and find someone has left toaster crumbs in there, it just makes my skin crawl. I sure let everyone in the house know how much I like that, believe me.

24. My brother hates styrofoam.
Apparently, the sound freaks him out. Because I am a good person, I have avoided packing up a huge box of styofoam to give to him for Christmas. I certainly am tempted every year, though.
