I have rent to pay, cell phone bill, car payment, insurance, gas, and I'm trying to save up money for college. So, yeah. :) Two jobs. And the serving one puts money in my pocket so the other check I can put into the bank. :)

How'd the dinner date go?

14. Riiiiight!
You can get an autograph, but I'm sure it wouldn't be of much value to you. :D I'm just doing it so I can be more energetic, I feel like a slug most days.

The dinner date... welll..... It was okay. He's a nice, southern guy. He was a marine (4 years, left as a sargent or something) and actually worked on the same MEU as my "friend". But everytime he starts talking about it, my mind wanders back to the other person. I don't know. I talked to him for a few minutes the day before yesterday and neither of us made an effort to call each other yesterday, so, I'm assuming nothing is going to come out of it. *sigh* I just suck I suppose.

How's your mom?

15. Mom is improving
She can drive by herself now, but during the day and not on the highway. She has to take the water pills to keep down the swelling in her legs. She still has to use the walker and do the exercises.

Sounds like dinner was pleasant, but that was about it. I know the feeling; I had a couple of dinner dates, but it was gonna go nowhere. I called, she said she was gonna call me back, but that never happened. From the theme phrase in one of my favorite movies (Pump Up The Volume), so be it.

Glad I'm not the only one whose life is sucking in the romance department. Granted, it still sucks, but 'tis better to suck together than to suck alone!

And glad to hear she's progressing. has she mentioned anything about thanksgiving?

19. Oh, that holiday
She is in no condition to cook Thanksgiving like in the past. She's (and maybe dad, too) gonna go to the Thanksgiving dinner at church. They'll have all of the meat, everyone is asked to bring a side dish or dessert.

27. Bread pudding
is basically baked french toast. One of the recipes made famous by New Orleans. :9

I'd imagine that the guys will pass the day with their kids and/or family. (I caveat that 'cause I know a few divorced guys.) I may find one of my sports bars open later in the day and watch football.

That is very kind of you. Please don't feel bad for me, I'll be alright.

21. The other topic
life sux in the romance dept. Having the baby face has its moments. Looking 15 years younger than you are makes me too young for the girls my age, and too old for the young ones.

Or maybe I'm just being cynical.

They're just immature (with the exception of moi of course hehe) and the old ones, well.... at least you're not being pressured to fufill their biological clock agreements.

That darned clock. That does sound loudly in the ears of quite a few women. I spend my...formative years on the ocean instead of wife chasing. After all, who'd want a husband/boyfriend who's gone 6 months of the year? I sure wouldn't.

You're just one of the exceptional ones. ;)
