I thought there was a 3K limit on avatars -- I was going to use an animated one at first, but knew it wouldn't fit. I take it there isn't?

2. Oh, an animated gif of several images can be done... but

it's a matter of reducing the color palette big-time (16 or fewer) and finding images whose colors can shared in the global palette, not to mentioning dithering down the pics to fit in the palette's scope. It's a matter of time to find the right combo.
