4. oh how right you are.
i have gone through many phases, and for long stretches I have given up on music, but JT remains. I can never get tired of the "live" album. I just listened to it today, for the first time since early summer........I have been so wrapped up in the Election, and it soothed my soul big time. Will have to start again to listen to him and find out about his newer releases, as I heard one the other day at work on a satellite feed. Thanks for reminding me.

I must have played "Sweet Baby James" a zillion times...still cherish the old LPS...
He's aged well, considering he started out as drug-addled as they came back around 1969!!! Even without the hair!

The voice is just so compelling. You can hear various versions of the songs over the years, but the voice...the voice...keeps it all comfortable....

Ah, and now he's doing "Sweet Baby James" ....so lovely to hear it again....

6. Did you hear what he said at the Vote for Change concert?
They aired the concert live on our radio station. When James Taylor came on, he said something to this effect (talking about bush, of course):

"You know what saying I really hate? 'You shouldn't change horses in mid stream.' I hate that saying. There are times you should change horses. What if the poor thing is in way over its head? And it can't swim too good? Time to change horses!"

"You know how to vote for a president? You look at the two candidates, learn everything you can about them, and vote for the Smart one."

7. Yup, love it!! He's doing "Fire and Rain" now....you know,
there is something so poignant about seeing someone from your own youth, at about the same stage in life as you are. It's like growing up with him and going through the same hellish world together.......

8. I actually like him better balding than with all the overgrown hair he had
in his youth.
