E-mail Fraud -- what authority handles it?
I received an e-mail fraud letter telling me my ISP will discontinue my e-mail service if I don't go to a certain webpage and release my personal information. I already forwarded the mail to my ISP, but they're going to have me go through hoops just to complain.

Is there a department at the F.B.I. that handles this kind of thing? Can someone give me their e-mail address so I can forward a copy of this letter?

Thanks.

Internet Fraud in General

Internet fraud complaints may be filed with the FBI's Internet Fraud Complaint Center (IFCC) at http://www1.ifccfbi.gov/ The IFCC is particularly active in the area of online auction fraud, but it also handles a variety of other Internet-related fraud.

3. The FTC has a spam/fraud email address I've sent some stuff to

I got this address about two years ago, though

[email protected]

probably still active, but a quick check at the FTC website might confirm or deny that.

4. I'll try it to see if I can forward the whole e-mail. It's the only way
to retain the link.
