I am voting straight dem today!!
For the first time in my life, I think, I will be doing 100% dem.

I ain't giving any republicans - even though many of them are decent people - a chance in hell to load the system with their own and form a group herd mentality and pass bad legislation. Nor will I vote for any other parties, also, probably, for the first time in my electional career.

No more!

ALL DEM FOR ME!

3. What exactly is a yellow dog dem anyway?
Stupid question, maybe. I think I know, but I want to be sure.

4. That is a person...
Who'd vote for a mangy yellow dog, if it was on the Dem side of the ticket. ;-)

8. That would be me.
Always vote Democratic, unless there is an incredibly strong reason to vote for someone from another party. I haven't seen a reason strong enough yet.

And I love dogs. (Yes, that might surprise some of you, but it's true.)

2. Yup, the first time I'm doing anything straight!
In and out in 15 minutes (including 5 minutes in the wrong line) and done before 7 a.m.!

7. You Yellow Dog!
I have often voted straight Dem. In fact, up until about 10 years ago, the Georgia ballot was designed with a "Straight Dem" section where you could vote all Dem. by punching 1 hole!

9. Careful folks!
There are reports in the Report Voting Problems forum about the straight Dem ticket in some polling places including */Cheney instead of Kerry/Edwards!

12. Sweet mother of God, why does this not surprise me?
I wouldn't ever hit the "all dem" marker, anyway.

More fun to choose each one deliberately and individually...

13. At my voting place, there were no "ticket" options.
I joyfully chose the Democratic candidate for each and every position individually.

Oh, and the traditional voting machine--nothing new-fangled.

20. Atta boy.
Don't opt for the one button. It's dangerous, plus if there is no Dem running, you don't get the option to vote against the Republican with a third party candidate.

11. I just got back from voting.
I only voted for Democrats. Little bit more difficult than it should have been, since in my part of the Atlanta metro area there are several Republicans running unopposed. I had to write in "None" in those races.

14. I Voted For One Repub (Eeep!)
For county board. I know the guy personally, and he's extremely moderate and honest as the day is long. He has run the country's emergency management system for at least since 1989, and he's dilligent, smart, and sincere.

He's already on the county board, and i saw no reason to lump him in with the other criminals and pinheads running for the R's. He's more an independent who jumped in with the Repub crowd that ran the county when he got his full time job.

I swallowed hard when i voted for him. But, i was still 95% dem, and since i consider myself anti-Republican, i think that's ok.

16. I'll Do Some Soul Searching and Get Back To You
Really though, even the most rabid anti-Bush DU'er would vote for this guy if they knew him. I just wish he would run as an "I" instead of an "R". I think he'd win anyway.

23. Well, I voted! Went all Dem
And on the two choices that had only a Republican running, I voted "other" and put in "Anyone else".

HA HA HA!!

And I left the Kerry/Edwards one for last - the coup de grace, and I smiled as I checked it! Then walked back into my office and gave a whoop!! (I work in a voting place, that also happens to be MY voting place - very convenient! I just looked out the office window until the line was empty, then walked out and voted)
