I have a fever & am feeling Psychic. Ask Me Anything.
And just to prove my abilities:

-- Yes, Kerry will win "in a minor landslide" tomorrow; pundits will claim they knew it all along.
-- Florida is going to be messed up, but the electoral votes will go to Kerry (but it won't really matter).
-- Texas is still going for Bush, but its going to be close.
-- The attempt at minority voter suppression in several states is going to be considered a national scandal.
-- You are not going to win the lottery this week, so don't waste the money.

I will stay on-line until a little after 6:00p.m. EST.

Ask away! :)

Best,
Ida the Ill

5. Sadly enough, my fever made me have to look up "gubernatorial" first.
Did I mention I don't feel well? :) Anyway, I followed your advice, checked your profile, and can confidently tell you: Joe Kernan is going to KICK BUTT SEVERELY. Who knew the voters were THAT annoyed with the other guy? Completely unexpected, but true. Enjoy!

I'm happy to hear that. :) "My Man Mitch" is a ... oh, it's too easy. I'll spare your fevered brain the lame insult against our IN challenger. :)

13. Yep -- exactly along those lines.
My Man Mitch, the Bitch. He presided over Indiana's own little "Enron Scandal" and purportedly made off with something along the lines of 2.5 million dollars. So, he can kiss my shiny white butt!

He is also the architect of the beautiful federal budget that we're all going to get to pay off for the next couple decades.

He's also got that brain damaged puppy dog look that * has a lot of the time. What are these Republicans drinking?

19. He's been promised something for being the sacrificial lamb.
He already knows he's going to lose -- and he spent a lot of his own money. He's planning on collecting some chits for later (although he did have some serious hope at one point, but not for long).

Even the Republican ones. Wow. Dumb pick for them.

3. Either that, or someone who is being stubborn --
-- and won't take anything because of a ridiculous "all natural" mentality. I'm debating whether to get over the stupid principals, and hit the Advil...:)

6. Our local nightclub
The Bourbon Street Cafe, says they will stay open until John Kerry is declared the winner. Will I get home by morning? Or am I starting out on a 4-year drunk?

Your real question is: "when will Kerry be OFFICIALLY the winner" which is a little bit after Midnight. Hints will begin coming out a few hours earlier (10:00 p.m.'ish). You, however, are going to be having such an amazing time with the party, you will not leave until between two and three. DO NOT DRIVE. DO NOT GIVE YOUR KEYS TO YOUR IDIOT FRIEND. And, your drinking isn't that bad yet, but you are starting to worry someone who cares about you -- what gives? You are not "in trouble" yet, but are starting to walk an interesting line. Be cautious, please.

15. Thank you. And Yes.
Your psychic must be kicking in too, because Mr. Briggs is bringing me Chicken Soup from Boston Market (which is why I have to get off the computer soon, because its going to be his turn!). :)

Your "addiction" is going to calm down in the next couple of days. Right now its one of the techniques you are using to keep yourself "calm" over things you aren't in control of, and it is proving helpful in keeping you informed. Once you feel less anxious about the future of our country, you will start concentrating on some of your other interests.

:)

16. Uh, little bit of both.
Was that pun on purpose? Anyway, you have definitely been being more "aggressive" than he is used to, but that is okay. Make him work a little harder, though, as you are both in the early "infatuation" stage, and neither one of you is seeing exactly "clearly" at the moment. There is definitely some 'possibility' happening, but you need to be careful you don't sabotage it. (Why am I getting that you sometimes do that -- set someone up to fail ON PURPOSE?) You are an amazing person, and you are both a little giddy. I'm going to repeat myself: make him work a little harder, because YOU ARE WORTH IT. :)

21. So what do you think?
This has been dragging out for so long now. Is it going to work- at least for awhile? Is he all he seems to be? Are we ever going to get ourselves together?

Oh!
And how's my job interview going to go Wednesday and will one of those second shift hospital jobs call instead soon?

You want to like him more, but you don't. You have officially entered into "power play" and the things you are fighting about are NOT the real issue. It feels like more of a "disappointment" with each other than a "dislike" of each other. The "spark" isn't burning as brightly as it did, and you are one step away from giving up, while he is completely frustrated because he doesn't know what to do to make you happy AND IT ISN'T ALL HIS FAULT.

The interview on Wednesday is going to be non-committal. You will do well, but you are having so many doubts about yourself and your future, you aren't going to be at your best (even if the interviewer can't see it, you sense it about yourself). Next week involves a LAME job offer that you are seriously thinking about taking.

You are really afraid of yourself more than anything else. Why aren't you trusting yourself? The relationship will resolve as soon as you make up your mind; he is a great guy (not perfect), and you care about him, but you keep pulling away. He needs you to quit playing games, and so do you.

Many tears are coming if you don't figure out what you want. :( You are very ambivalent about A LOT of stuff.

25. Hmmmm... interesting analysis
No fighting there, but a lot of disappointment due to circumstances. The "spark" is different, but not gone by any means. Just feeling more real and less fantasy. I'm not given up yet... I never quite did when it quits was called before.

The job stuff sounds REALLY accurate sadly.

I am afraid of myself and don't trust myself (my few experiences have been less than good), but everything I know so far points to a great guy. One who sacrifices what he wants to do what's right for someone else. That's courage. I'm not pulling away and little ambivalence. There was last year, but the other side of the ambivalence has been figured out.

Thanks for your analysis Ida Briggs.

22. hey Ida, if you're still online here...
guess I should have asked a more useful question.

How about this suit I'm getting ready to file against my work for breaking their safety rules resulting in an injury. I'm nearing the endo f the Worker's Comp period, after which I will be fired.

They're doing it to alot of us and its dangerous. I have the guts I guess to go up against this.

Any gut reactions on this?

24. Do it.
There is going to be a change at the Worker's Compensation office that is going to benefit you on this. Right now the HR folks aren't expecting you (or anyone else) to actually go through with this, so they are being a bit "scornful" but the smack in the face wake-up call will be hitting them in a couple of months (end of Jan/early Feb/some resolution in mid-March). Be prepared for a tough road until then (and start your holiday shopping now). Also, someone (short dark haired tough talking female?) is thinking about doing the same thing, but is about to hire a SHYSTER of a lawyer. Talk her out of that guy! Hope that helps!

I don't know anyone thinking of the same thing at the moment but if I hear about that, I'll see about her lawyer.

I haven't mentioned this online yet, so don't tell anyone!! shhh!!

I'm gonna book mark this and keep an eye on it.

 many thanks!!
