Kerry is gay... apparently
This is a funny story. I posted this on a forum that some kids at my school run, and they found it amusing so I thought I would post it here.

---

I am the proud owner of a Kerry/Edwards T-Shirt. I wore it to my highschool one day, recieving a sneering, dismissive remark by a kid named Danny:

Kerry?! Bush is way better than that fag.

For DUers: Danny is the type of kid who wears Fox Racing Shirts everyday and has smelled like cigarettes since he was twelve. He's a redneck.

Anyway, This priceless insight from Danny was followed by an equally hilarious dialouge, when I wore the shirt again. The following is an unedited transcript of our discussion, provided for your amusement. Yes, this is a REAL Bush supporter and all of his words are UNEDITED.

___
Me: So Danny, do you still think Kerry is a "fag"?

Danny: Yeah, he's a queer... he screws John Edwards in the ass.

Me: Really? So Why do you like Bush so much?

Danny: He's cool because he kills the sand people.

Me: Sand people? Are you serious?

Danny: Well, I was gonna say something else.

Me: Danny, you are the perfect Bush supporter.

Danny: Yeah, well youre the perfect Kerry supporter... (at this point there was a few seconds of silence- apparently, he was forming some sort of witty retort)... cuz you're gay.
___

Unfortunately, Danny's trenchant political insights ended when I burst out laughing. In the future, I will pay more attention to Danny, as I hope to gain knowledge from this well-informed gentlemen who not only has strong opinions, but also reinforces them with facts. If only all Americans could take such care and thought in forming their political opinions.

---

Also, we had a mock election at school today and Kerry lost by TWO votes. The politically oriented kids who like Kerry, since it was a mock election, voted nader. I specifically remember them walking into class laughing about nader... two of them. Sadly, Nader does make a difference, people!

homophobic to me. Could be wrong, but just a hunch.

On edit: I wouldn't let Danny know about this theory. He sounds like a bit of a hothead.

5. Evidently this is widespread high school talk
I had dinner with some friends who live in rural Missouri last week. They and their 15 year old son are stanch Kerry supporters. Their son was saying that the kids go around saying "Kerry the fairy" in his school. I wonder if they'll still say that when their drafted and in Iraq?

10. Wait until you've been out of high school for several years.
You'll realize that going from middle school to high school is like going from -10 to +3 on the happiness scale. :eyes:
