I'm listening to "70's Saturday night" on the radio, ask me anything!
I know, I know, what a pathetic way to spend a Saturday night, but what else is a poor, dateless, sex-starved, single mom in an area where the only single men are freepers, RW wingnuts, or fundie nutballs supposed to do?

Besides, given that I'm an old gal of 38, I absolutely LOVE seventies music (yes, even Barry Manilow, who gives one helluva good concert, btw!), and enjoy the program on a local radio station in Cleveland every Saturday. So, I suppose you could ask me things like what my favorite sexual position is (wouldn't you guys like to know, lol!), but I'm really interested in what your favorite seventies songs and groups are!

3. Are they playing any Three Dog Night? Dr Hook? Hot Chocolate?
Them're some good songs, right there.

Oh, and what's your favorite sexual position?

4. They sure are playing some Three Dog Night
and Dr. Hook, they usually do since they get a lot of requests for those groups.

BTW, my favorite sexual position, if you must know, is the 'ol traditional missionary position. Second favorite: Being on top!

5. Thank you
And thank you! :D

I lvoe '70s music. Well, not all of it, but I think it's a much-maligned decade, musically. Much of the music produced then still sounds great, nostalgia value aside. I think it went rapidly downhill from there...

8. I totally agree with you on that one,
70's music still does sound great, and it had a tremendous amount of variety, unlike 80's and 90's music, which pretty much all sounds the same. I think 70's music gets a bad rap because everyone just associates it with disco, which was really only a few years out of the whole decade.

BTW, I've "bared my soul", so to speak, so now I can ask you what YOUR favorite sexual position is!

12. Even disco has its appeal for me
Albeit largely for nostalgia value, and I was just a tad too young to really be part of the disco culture when it peaked. Still, I really DO like some disco and stuff like songs by Heatwave, Hot Chocolate, etc that perhaps aren't really 'disco.' And "Disco Duck"!

And you're right - turnabout is fair play, whatever the heck that means. I just hope nobody else is reading. *blush*

Um...it's hard to pick, but the second one that you chose is right up there. Maybe #1. :-) I like it!!! And I've had a great deal of fun with the one that has the man behind and the woman...you know...the one...well, let's just say that sometimes I've enjoyed a Three Dog Night, to link this to your other topic, and I've heard that it can feel especially good for the woman, too. :D

And the first one that you mention - I've found it even more fun with the legs-on-the-shoulders variation. Oh, my goodness, it's hot tonight. *fan*

They're all good, though.

7. Best Seventies Bands Were Bad Company , Lynrd Skyrnd* Wings
Bad Company- the album, the group's name, the title track...

Bad Company and Wings were two of the worthier bands to come out of that era...

*I saw Lynrd Skynrd live at a mall in Altamonte Springs, Florida about two weeks before their fatal crash. They were promoting the Street Survivors album...

P.S. The Seventies also gave us Bruce Springsteen...

10. I sure wish I could be there,
but since it's on a Sunday it'd be too much to make the three-hour drive in the morning, then do it again late at night, then get up for work. I was really hoping it'd be on Saturday, but I'm sure there'll be another Ohio gathering soon. I'd like to try to get something together soon for Northeast Ohio, I know there are a lot of DUers in this area. Have a good time for me, though, and let me know how it went!

Thanks for the song suggestion, btw.

14. Are they playing the FM stuff (when FM was for stoners)?
You know, the ones that go on for twenty minutes?

In-a-Gadda-da-Vida, Yes, Renaissance, ELP (like the whole Karn Evil thing), King Crimson and the like.
