Olympia WA area- Please adopt this kitty w/ pics
This is an intact male kitty (less than 2 years old) who we nick named Soros. He's part Manx (so no tail.) But he is incredibly sweet and playful. A definite lap kitty. He's a stray that we found with a sore foot, and we want to find a good home for him desperately. We really can't keep him. His leg is all healed but he is still going to need (FIV and Leukemia) tests and vaccines, but we can help financially with that part. We are now faced with taking him to the shelter, but we would rather find a home for him somewhere. We'd be willing to deliver him anywhere in the Seattle or even Portland area.

Please adopt this kitty

6. I wish I could take ALL the kitties...but six is the hubby limit.....
...ie one over his comfort kitty limit but one under his "I'm leaving you cause you are a cat hoarder" limit.

I hope that you find a good person to take him in soon. I wish I could have him. :(

Please don't take him to a shelter, keep trying and make sure he goes to good people. :)

5. I really don't want to take him to the shelter.
I really like this cat. He doesn't spray. He's so sweet and just loves to roll around on his back. He's great around kids. (IE will let himslef be manhandled.) He purrs whenever we are around him, and hasn't failed to use the kitty box once.

7. I've sent an email to my son in Olympia
He's just out of college and he and his friends probably aren't permanently enough established to take in a cat -- but you never know.

24. No need to propagandize -- he loves cats
He said a while back that the only thing he really missed being at college was not having cats around. (I think he misses the cats more than he misses us!)

But at this point, the lease he had with friends is running out and he doesn't know where he's going to be living six weeks from now, and that makes it a little difficult.

14. Is there a vet school near you?
I know that the vet schools have a listserv where they advertise strays or other animals that need adopting. So, if there is one near you, I am sure you could email someone there to put up the advertisement for you and hopefully find a home for Soros.

Good Luck!

Not pressuring you or anything. Just kidding. From what I can tell he does well with other cats. He seems pretty content around them and doesn't make unnecessary trouble, but what can I say he's a cat. You can never predict how any two will get along. But he is definetly passive around our two cats. He seems far more interested in food and generally being silly.

Hope you find him a home.

Try searching www.petfinder.com for a local rescue that might be able to foster him and find him a home.

32. I just emailed a friend in Eugene, OR...
I don't know if she's got a cat or dog or other pets, but I've also asked her to ask around. I know Eugene's a little farther that perhaps you're interested in going, but maybe if there's a taker you can work out a hand-over location.

Good luck with Soros -- we're in NCarolina and have several of our own, what you're doing is wonderful; please hang on to him as long as you can!

I'm still hoping to find a home for him before I look at shelters as an option. My email is [email protected]. If you have any questions feel free to send me a letter. I will pay for all of his shots and for him to be neutered, if I can find a home for him.

He's already been to the vet once. And has a clean bill of health. No distance is really too far if I can find a good home for him.
