I met Howard Dean crossing 7th Avenue.

Celebrities in Manhattan are nothing new. But I was really startled when I saw Howard Dean standing next to me, waiting to cross the street.

Looks just like he does on TV. So I told him I voted for him, even after it was hopeless, which is true, asked why he was here when NY is sure thing.

He's here for the fundraiser to oust DeLay.

I would have liked to say something witty or incredibly wise but, oh well.

I'm still grinning, however.
