17. Special K BARS!!

Special K Bars

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1-1/2 cups corn syrup
1-1/2 cups peanut butter
6 cups Special K cereal
12 oz. pkg. semisweet chocolate chips
1/3 cup peanut butter

In large microwave safe bowl, combine sugars and corn syrup. Heat on HIGH for 2-4 minutes, stirring once during cooking, until sugars dissolve and mixture bubbles. Remove from microwave and stir in 1-1/2 cups peanut butter until melted. Add cereal and stir until coated. Spoon into 13x9" pan and press down using back of spoon.

In medium microwave safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and peanut butter. Heat on MEDIUM for 2 minutes; remove from microwave and stir until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. Pour over cereal bars and let cool.

Yes, this defeats the purpose of Special K, but MAN ARE THEY GOOD!!!
