I heard Christmas carols in a store today

I had to go to Brookstone to buy a Tempurpedic pillow, per my physical therapist's advice. It wasn't bad enough that I had to visit the horrid, soul-killing mall I worked in for almost a decade (Bellevue Square), but I had be tormented by Christmas music.

Just checked the calendar... it appears to be October 22. So, according to my calculations, that makes it exactly two months and three days before Christmas. What's next - carols on Labor Day weekend?

6. Christmas Carols

My husband and I were in Target last weekend to pick up a Halloween costume for our toddler and they had Christmas candles, and home decorations out for sale. What's worse - they already had that "picked over" look.

Hanukkah starts on Dec. 8 this year, so there are two fewer shopping weeks (gasp!).
