Part of my parents' living room ceiling collapsed this morning
I came home from yoga to find a message on my voice mail:

"Help! We think either our shower or washer has sprung a leak, the ceiling in the living room is falling down."

Just another relaxing day in the life of my family. So I'll be moving a lot of furniture this afternoon (my mother is disabled and my dad has a bad back).

As Gilda Radner said, "It's always something." :eyes:

4. Thanks
The weird thing is, it's not the roof. They have another floor above the leak, so it's probably the shower or the washing machine. I did manage to get my dad to call their contractor, who is on their way over there now.

7. Thanks
At least I'm off the hook now that the contractor has just shown up. HE can move the gigantic entertainment center. I was not relishing the idea of having to do that. :eyes:

8. Well, after all, it looks like I'll be going over there to move furniture
I think I'll bring a Xanax for my dad. He seems to not be taking this well. :(

When that happens, people around him suffer. Wish me luck. :(

9. THAT'S fun.
My clumsy ass knocked in about a third of the ceiling in our nursery room this summer - itched for a week with the insulation. Glad the contractor's there. :hi:
