I've never seen anyone mention Zooba.com so I thought I would. It's sort of a book club, you're charged $9.95 every month and every month you get a book, any book you choose. You set up a list and they send the books, one at a time, in the order they're ranked on your list. You can change the list whenever you want to and you can order extra books anytime. A book is always $9.99. No shipping charge. You stay in as long as you want, or quit whenever you want. Works for me!

I've been a member for several months with no problems, which is an atypical book club experience! I was just browsing the "stacks" over there and thought I really should tell DUers to check it out. They have all the current political books, current fiction. You won't find every book you want but finding 12 a year won't be difficult, either.

but when I remembered it, I did. I guess they're not doing much advertising, even online -- how else to keep the prices down?
