Do the AZ locals pronounce it the same way?

Everyone I heard pronounced it, Tem-PEE.

2. The second "e" is long, stress on 2nd syllable.
Saying it the other way is kind of like saying "San Franekisco" or "Manecheester"...

3. Kind of ironic how the last debate came from Tempe.
Temp work is the only kind of work a lot of folks can find these days if they can find any at all. Thanks to the BFEE economy.
