Question for Red Sox fans
How has manager Francona been this year? Do you have trust in him for the playoffs? I'm wondering because I always wanted him gone when he was in Philly. Though I'm not sure Bowa was much more talented.

2. I like Francona
The Red Sox would be no where without Shilling (21-5).

If Francona didn't come here, neither would Shilling. He'd probably have been a Yankee,

So, when you factor in Francona's worth, consider that fact, too.

4. Theo Epstein and Larry Luchino have I think alot more to do with the sox
success than any individual player or especially Francona. Unlike with the Yanks where Torre is clearly the most valuable person in the organization.

3. Um, alot of people, including myself were annoyed as hell with him
when the sox were playing 50/50 baseball. Thinking he was out of his league, no pun intended. But when they became the best team in the AL for a long time after they were doing bad, people put those bad memories out of their mind. We've never really embraced him, but we haven't really embraced a manager ever in my memory. At least not since I was a little kid.
