1. My first World Series!!!
OK, so I was a fetus at the time, but since I'm a Cardinals fan, I'm counting it! :P

3. I'm a little older, and I recall it well. The day of Game 7 we had to
give up our dog! Worst day of my life!

4. Not to mention:
Texan as "President," unpopular war, etc.

5. Too bad it wasn't the 1968 WS, because the party in control of the White
House got booted out in that election. Would have been a good sign for this year!

7. Now THAT might be stretching it a bit--still, I root for Detroit if they
keep Satan's Team out of the playoffs next year!

9. The Sox will win as long as Bob Gibson isnt pitching for St.Louis.
When he came to town that year he "took them to school". Gibson was unhittable during that series. He even hit a couple of HRs too.
