I've discovered why I'm such a gung-ho, rampant, do-or-die Democrat

This came up in a conversation with a Naderite.

I really hate the Republican Party. I hate them right-wingers, them religious fanatic judgemental perversions of Christianity, them ignorant ignorant nose-picking creation sciencers, them pursey-mouthed stick-up-their-butts prayer-in-public-schoolers, them greedy nobody-matters-but-MEEEE rich Enron-loving ultra-capitalist the-poor-deserve-it heartless bastards ...

I just hate them so much and I want to stick my face at every one of them and go Nyah Nyah Nyah come November 3.

That's why I'm a democrat. I am finally admitting it to myself and to you. Am I a bad, shallow person? Tell me after the election and I'll work on it.

6. The funny thing is

I was just giving a Republican friend flack for something similar. He became a Republican mainly because he really hates the ultra ultra liberal left and had some bad personal experiences. I told him he should not define himself by what he hates, that only gives them power over him. Not that I would ever be a Republican ever, though I do have a few right-leaning tendencies amongst my mostly-liberal makeup. I'd never be a Naderite either as I think the man is incompetent. But I could certainly see myself being part of a third party or an independent.

Except I want those Republicans to LOSE so bad! And being a Democrat is the best way to make that happen.

If it wasn't for Reagan, I wouldn't be a Democrat.

I originally started as an Anti-Republican.

I was intrigued with Ross Perot, until I realized that voting for Perot would not get rid of the Republican.

then so are a lot of us, including me. I say screw 'em. Lets not only win back the White House, lets humiliate them in the process. Of course, they do a pretty good job of that themselves.
