Yankee Fans Do Not Despair
Let them gloat. It gives us a full license to shove it right back into their faces when we win.

Now, for all you Yankee-haters, understand one thing, We've won more championships than any other professional team in all of team sports. We do not have to win to prove our greatness. You do, and until your pathetic finally wins a championship, then come talk to us.

2. You assume your greatness
hence the obnoxious Yankee fan label is well earned. Enjoy yourself.

3. Who's on the mound for game 2 ... Weaver? Good luck.
You got no arms this year. Getting past Minnesota, if it happens at all, will be NY's "championship."

Then, the season ends ...

4. Nice to see someone paying attention
Weaver no longer is on the team.
Lieber is pitching tomorrow.
Try to be a little more up to date before playing with the adults, mkay?

5. You're right, my mistake.(Weaver, Lieber ... Damn Joe Buck!)

Still ain't got the arms. Even a dummy like me sees it.

They're either in Houston, or in a sling.

6. Lieber is ehh...
He's pitched a few good games, but he's nothing spectacular and I certainly wouldn't want him to face a #1 starter like Schilling or Santana.
However, the offense can only sleep so long before it explodes. It has been the pattern of the season for them to slump, and then errupt for a few weeks, and they are due for said explosion.

8. They have struggled all year w/ RISP
And right now, Sheff is a black hole at the three spot, and it makes no sense at all to have Matsui hitting 6th.
Even then, they are due for a very nice stretch of hitting.

13. 5 GIDP
That hurt. A big part is that I really don't like how the contact hitters are hitting in the middle/lower of the order...Matsui, Posada, etc, always make contact and have the highest amounts of GIDP...

9. Yankees!
Yankees need to play small ball. They must NOT overswing on Twinkies pitching.

How many opportunities did they pass up by hitting into double plays? They hit into them because they were trying to kill the ball.

Remember in 1998 when they won all those games how they always did opposite field swinging? They would accumulate one hit after another and they gradually scored numerous runs. They do not need to swing for the home run on every daggone pitch!

Play small ball and win!!!

10. BINGO
Then again, Rube was robbed of an RBI double.
But yes, small ball is the key. DJ bunts exceptionally well, and I want to see him hit behind Bernie.
