I'm coming down I35E, about to take the ramp to I-494 west, when this trooper pulls onto the ramp and halts traffic. TWO CARS AHEAD OF ME! If I had sped a little bit and gotten there 30 seconds sooner, I would have made it!
Sumbitch comes down from Lake Elmo to south Minneapolis (going up Cedar Avenue from 494).
We had to sit there about 20 minutes.
lotta people had their days screwed up.
I happened to have a scanner on.
the Veep's code name was 'pilot.' As in 'pilot is crossing the Minnesota River.' 'Pilot has left 494.' and 'Pilot has arrived.'
i guess this happens in any presidential campaign, but I was ON TIME for once and Cheney screwed me up!
