Major car fire right outside my apt door!!!

I woke up to the sound of someone POUNDING on the door next to my apartment. I could tell something was wrong, so I got up to to look outside. FIRE!! A van completely blazing, the two cars next to it also had caught on fire. I called 911 (so had several others I found out, but always have to be sure) and looked outside again. That van was making explosion sounds every so often. Bizarre, just like on tv. Fire department arrived and couldn't get in the gate. Our lovely apartment complex somehow didn't give them access. I opened it for them. But what happens when I or someone else living here isn't there? The whole place torches? Now the whole area is police roped off, including my car. No one was hurt thank God. One building, (not mine) has fire damage. Gotta love life in the ghetto.

How did the fire get started ? Thats horrible ! That gate is a hazard for emergency situations .

but thankfully no one was hurt. I'm going to bitch at the office tomorrow about the emergency access though. Thats outright dangerous.

4. So I get home today

the minivan has been totally destroyed, tired melted to the ground, as well as similar damage to the trucks on both sides of it. The smell of burned tires is EVERYWHERE, including inside my apartment somehow. I called the apartment office to let them know about the gate access for the fire department. She didn't care and ran me off the phone. I'm posting this hear so I can scream. AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!
