Any System of a Down fans here??
What are your favorite songs by them??

I am in LOVE with their music. It's not just the lyrics, but the music itself. Serj Tankian (lead vocalist) has one of the most amazing voices I have EVER heard...

I love the following songs:

-"Forest"
-"Chop Suey"
-"I-E-A-I-A-I-O"
-"BOOM!"
-"Shimmy"
-"ATWA"

6. My Daughter Turned Me on to Them
I like their turbulent instrumentals with that Armenian flavor and the paranoid hallucinatory lyrics that are often quite funny.

I'd like to buy her another CD. Other than "Toxicity," what do you recommend next?

7. I like the new one
Steal This Album! and I still want to get their first one (self-titled).

I agree with you on their instrumentals and halluncinatory lyrics. My sister thinks I'm possessed by the SOAD god or something.

10. Their first album, System Of A Down...

8. Prison Song...
a great song from a musical standpoint, but even more so when considering the lyrics. then again, can say that about many of SoaD's music.

9. Absolutely...
The line "I buy my crack my smack my bitch right here in Hollywood" always cracks me up for some reason. Great lyrics though.

17. Me too!
I like those ones, and some of my other favorites include War,The Metro, Toxicity, and of course Roullette, which is quite different form any other SoaD song I've ever heard, but I love it anyways.

20. Roulette is soooo different from what they usually write
but I love it as much as the others!!

There's one song on there that sounds really melodious in the beginning, near the end of the CD, can't remember the lyrics (or name of the song) that I really like.

21. I totally hate the song chop suey (played TO DEATH on radio)
BUT the guy who tattoos me INSISTS (today even) i must give them a try despite my loathing of that one song(we have similiar tastes this is why he insists) they played chop suey over and over and over back when it was out..

23. Blame the radio for that one
But honestly, they are a great band. If you don't like them then that's your musical taste but judging from just one song is a tad unfair IMHO. Try them! See how you like them! :)
