Is there really a musical note that can make you crap your pants?
I heard that there was a long time ago and I just watched the episode of south park about it. Is it a real thing? If so how can I do it?

4. It is the great equalizer
Rich man, poor man, strong man, weak man, all fall victim to the call of nature. And it is funny.

12. Yes but some of us have better places do it than others

If one lives in a third world country a hole in the ground is often the the best they can do. In contrast some wealthy people have toilets carved out of marble with gold seats in bathrooms larger than many people's master bedrooms.

6. Why speculate? Why not just try it?
There HAS to be a DUer set up with a synthesizer that can hit a note at 10.5-16HZ. Just have them try it and see if they poop themselves.

7. 10.5-16Hz? Seems a little high.

I have a pretty good pair of Sennheiser headphones that have low-end frequency response down to 10Hz, and I've not shat myself yet. Maybe I should put a low-pass filter just below the lowest audible frequency and then crank 'em up to see what happens...although I doubt it will do anything.

9. Isn't 10.5HZ really LOW?
Not kilohertz, hertz. That's an ultra-low frequency. Your headphones may range that low, but I doubt you've ever heard a sustained 10.5hz tone.

BTW, how do you like the headphones? I've been considering getting a set of the Sennheizer wireless headphones for use with my PC.

16. Meant it seemed too high a tone to cause that reaction...
And I realise it's sub-audible. Heh. Headphones kick ass. At least an order of magnitude better than the Sonys they replaced. Clean highs, crisp mids and good solid lows (without distortion or clipping). I can highly recommend Sennheisers if you're looking at buying some.

14. It probably, in reality, has to be ambient, i.e. 'in the room.'
I'm guessing it's a low tone that resonates through your whole body and causes that unique (or not-so-unique) reaction. There are so many bass-related phenomena -- like 'pant flap' -- that occur when there are ambient frequencies that wouldn't occur if you listened on headphones, no matter how loudly.

It's probably about the same frequency as the brief buzz that goes through your car when you hit the 'rumble strips' on the side of a highway exit at about 50 mph.

10. I think it would be pretty easy...
Just wait until you feel the urge, put on some music, and then when you hear something good just let it go! Shit your pants with delight for all I care...:eyes:
