Officers Wrestle Alligator Out of Hot Tub

ROYALTON, Ill. Sept. 16, 2004 — A worried neighbor's call to Animal Control led to a bizarre scene at a southern Illinois home: Four officers wrestling an alligator out of a hot tub, a house filled with animal cages, and the arrest of a man wanted by the military for desertion.

It was more than Franklin County Animal Control Supervisor Jarrett Broy had been counting on when the call came in, but he's seen crazy things before.

1. an alligator in a hot tub, huh?

I wonder if he enjoyed it....seriously though, at first glance I thought this was a follow-up story to the one on Yahoo news which described a zoo in Pensacola (?) which had alligators. After hurricane Ivan hit, the alligators were on the loose. Several were spotted cruising in the flooded streets.

I thought this was where one of them ended up .

Maybe someone who evacuated from Ivan took an alligator to Illinois, and then this is what happened.
