I just hammered in my Kerry/Edwards sign...
.... so don't even ask me. Yes, I'm happy.

It's a little thing but a million little things are going to get a little man out of the white house :)

1. Here's a toast to it actually staying there until November 2
a K-E sign wouldn't stay in the ground five minutes around here. Which is why they are in my front windows. And I keep expecting a brick to come sailing through my windows any day now, even with as optimistic as I tend to be.

5. Hey, I'm in Dallas too!
No one is bothering my Katy Hubener sign (state house--I'm actually in a burb of Dallas) and I'm sure they would leave my Martin Frost sign alone, but Kerry? Nope. I know tooooo many people who have had theirs stolen the SAME night they put it out.

7. Well, if they steal mine....
... I will get another. I'm barely in Dallas, just out of Richardson and just south of Plano.

There is a "Veterans for Kerry" sign one street away and it's been there a while. Maybe you just live in a tough neighborhood :)

10. I've heard
honey or molasses on the stick works very well, when the thugs throw them in their trunk in the dark of night, they also take a million ants with them.

9. I Volunteer With Martin Frost Weekly - I Got A Pete Sessions Sign
Removed today. Someone in my apartment complex was violating the lease by displaying the Sessions sign. A call to management reminding them of their rules made quick work of the sign. Turns out the apartment manger is 'puke and was showing favoritism.

Hey, we each work in our own small ways.

11. Heh heh heh
The K-E signs don't last too long around my neighborhood either....all except mine. Our front yard is fenced in and I feed the dogs right next to the sign. Both of my mutts now like to hang out by the sign. Between the fence and the dogs I haven't had any problems.

14. We can't get them out fast enough here in Eastern IA
People asking for signs, bumper stickers, requesting ABRs, volunteering (firsttimers), donating food, money and what not.

Never trust the polls!!

8. That is a really good idea...
Edited on Mon Sep-20-04 09:24 PM by deseo
... if I only had some :) I could soak it with jalapeno brine but I suspect that would not be the same thing :)

A nice thing is that there is a street light at the edge of my lot, the sign is always illuminated, maybe that will scare them off - freeps hate the light ya know :)

13. Good news from here
I'm in a very conservative suburb of Detroit. And the Kerry signs outnumber the Bush signs at least 30 to one. It gives me a little hope. Although I think Bush will steal this one too.
