Can someone's personality make them more/less physically attractive?
I believe this wholeheartedly.

I've known a ton of women that I wasn't attracted to upon meeting that got better looking as I got to know them. Conversely, I've met some stuffy hot girls that steadily rolled down the hill as well.

Strange phenomenon...

1. Yes, yes, yes!
A person's personality can have a dramatic effect on how attractive that person is perceived to be.

2. Oh yes! You bet!
Definition motion in either direction on the babe-o-meter once they open their mouths.

Not that I would objectify men. Just get that idea right out of your head!

3. Absolutely
It's the most important thing (of course, personality includes intelligence).

4. Absolutely.
A guy can be as hot as all hell, but if I find out that he's either a slob, lazy, arrogant, or a freeper.. he becomes the troll from under the bridge.

Of course, I could still "punish" him in the course of one evening.. if I were single..

8. Oh yes - There was a great fictional depiction of this phenom in a MASH
episode. Hawkeye was all set to get cozy with a nurse and she made a comment about a "gook" and that was it. He walked out on her.

9. That's how it is with me too
It isn't just that a positive personality is a turn on and a negative personality is a turn off. They actually seem more attractive or less attractive than when I first saw them. This is true for me for both men and women, including groups like elderly people who I never am sexually attracted to. This was even true of identical twin guys who I could not tell apart upon first metting them. The evil twin became very ugly and the nice twin became very cute. All my friends are more attractive than average. Everyone who I dislike is in the bottom 10%.

Otherwise they are not getting any.

I've met plenty of physically attractive men that have personalities that make absolutely hurl. :puke:

14. Heavens, yes.
In fact, for me, personality will always do that in my eyes. There are some fairly ugly people whose faces I love, and some beauties whose nastiness makes me unable to look at them.

15. Definitely.
I had a huge crush on this guy because he was a major hottie, but after getting to know him (and the way he flirts with everything with breasts) I pretty much just consider him friend only material now.

16. Two words...Mel Gibson
I wouldn't do him with someone else's genitalia. I know other women seem to find him attractive physically. I find him utterly repugnant.

17. I'm amazingly not attracted to most "beautiful women"
If there's one thing, I've always hated, it's insincerity. And I find the dyed blonde, make-up wearing barbie doll type insincere and eventhough I mentally think they are good looking, nothing in my brain says "Oh la la, I'd like me soma that"

I don't think it's that strange. I think it's evidence that hardly any of us is only attracted to someone's appearance. Most people want a person, not just a shell. Who you are as a person is a huge part of the package.

19. No.
Jessica Simpson is a bitch, she's dumb, and she's all about herself (all qualities I don't like in women). But she's hot.

So no, her personality does not make her less physically attractive.

20. yes and no
theres a part of my brain that knows mel gibson is gorgeous ...and theres a part of my brain that wants to kick him in the balls in a completely non-sexual way,...so while i am no longer atttracted to him...i recognize that he has features that would make someone else attractive
