Jessica Simpson to don "Daisy Dukes" for first film role

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Pop star Jessica Simpson (news) has been cast as Daisy Duke in the big-screen remake of "The Dukes of Hazzard," a project that essentially marks her feature film debut.

Seann William Scott (Shiffler from "American Pie")and Johnny Knoxville already had been cast as Bo and Luke Duke, respectively, in the Warner Bros. project. Jay Chandrasekhar is directing. A start date has not yet been set.

I have to say I think she is far from the brightest bulb but she is easy on the eyes.

A friend of mine (who you would never pick as a "reality TV" watcher) was talking about "The Newlyweds" , I asked him "You watch that?" "Oh Hell yeah" - him and all of his brother's friends (construction industry guys) basically have a party to watch it. That cracks me up.
