Since my head is usually crammed in between headphones playing jazz and world music and older stuff I miss alot of new stuff (and often refuse to give alot of stuff a chance as the insipid nineties really jaded me). I picked up Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots and I think I love it, its true. I realize that the Lips have been around for a long time but I missed that in my Dead-Head/Reggae obsession days (RandomKoolzip can attest to my close-mindedness during that period.)

Anyway - there ya have it.

3. It took me a while to get into them

I hated that stupid Jelly song, whatever it was called. So I didn't give them a chance, even though my friends begged me to try them out. Now I love them. I still hate that stupid jelly song though.
