My God, cats are so darn forgiving
While stumbling into the kitchen in the dark I accidently kicked Abbott  I mean, I can't see him down there and I would never in a million years hurt that guy on purpose. But he got around my feet and POWIE he got a boot in the side and went running.

I was so upset and he hid underneath my sofa and didn't want to come out. SO I gave him his space as I finished up housecleaning.

Wouldn't you know it - 15 minutes later he was all snuggly with me when I crashed on my sofa for a bit to watch some TV.

Cats are so dang forgiving!!

2. About a week ago
one of mine was sleeping on the top of my stairs and I didn't see him in the dark. And I stepped right on him, he jumped up and tumbled down a flight of stairs. I felt horrible, but about an hour later he came and layed down in bed next to me and was purring. I was surprised to say the least.

3. I think it's because they can't admit they are hurt.
They have kitty-cat pride.

9. No
It's because you were down on your knees while they were under the bed. It's because you were saying, "I'm sorry, so sorry. Come on out. Here's a kitty treat. Oh I'm sorry. I'm a jerk. I'll never do it again. Please? Please come out? I'll open a can of Fancy Feast for you. Hmmm? Kitty. Please. Kitty, kitty. I love you. I lovvvvve you? Please?"

That's why.

Cher

4. Forgiving indeed, but slow to learn about our feet.
Odds are he will be in position to get booted again in no time. It will continue for years. Otherwise, cats are very smart.

Our not-quite-4-month-old Doodle loves to run in and watch the 90 Pound Hound get his drinks from the bath tub faucet. He now waits for her to arrive at the tub before he will partake.

Last night, she watched me wash my hands in the sink and a light bulb went on over her head. She pounced in the sink and trotted around it, decided it was much petter suited to her dainty size than the bath tub, and proceeded to drink from the faucet like the dog does.

All day today... turn on the tub for the hound, turn on the sink for the kitten... synchronized slurping and matching wet muzzles.

7. Underfoot Cats
I think sometimes that they are trying to herd their owners.
My cats try to divert me to a food dish or just to get some attention.

dogs => owners as cats => staff

8. That's my Binky!
I can't go to the toilet without turning on the faucet and giving her a boost for her "Binky drink in the sink." When she was younger, she jumped up herself. Now she's 13, and needs a lift.

Cats. Gotta love em. You have to earn it!

6. Oh my God, something even worse happened to me today
Ma and bro and I were leaving this morning (we only have one vehicle) to go to my college. We have a cat with four 3 month old kittens, and we have to be careful, because they seem to believe that a two-thousand pound vehicle won't crush them. We checked, and we thought they were all out from under it, but when we backed up we saw one of them, the little girl, crawling on her front legs, hissing and growling at the dogs, unable to walk. I thought I was gonna die right there.

We stopped the car, grabbed her, wrapped her in a blanket, and took her with us. Mom dropped me and bro off at college first, then she took her to the vet. She's the sweetest little kitten, the kind that just begs to be cuddled with, and I was sure that the vet would have to put her to sleep. So there I was, sitting in Biology class, about to bawl my eyes out in front of the professor and everything (I love animals; that's why I'm going pre-vet).

So when Ma came to pick me up I was all depressed, certain it was going to be bad news. But it wasn't. The vet said that her pelvis was broken, but other than that she's all right. We just have to keep her in the house and let her rest for the next several weeks until she heals. More, he was super nice and only charged us $17.00 for it.

Ever since I got home I've been cuddling her, being careful not to move her too much, because I don't want her to hurt anymore than she already does. She's doing okay, eating, drinking, etc., and she can move around enough to do what she needs to do, though we try to get her to stay still as long as possible; she even played with a little string I dangled in front of her face. In the meantime, we need to get the mother spayed and find homes for the three boys. And we'll also be twice as careful to make sure none of the kittens are anywhere near the car when we leave in the morning.

10. awww...
Now I'm feeling all paternal.

I'm one of those suckers who can't pass a cat without wanting to adopt another one.

Though, oddly enough, it's the older cats I always seem to want to adopt, not the kittens.

But I have 3 right now and that's my limit. NO MORE!

12. Are you sure???
LOL.

I'm sure we'll find homes for them around here somewhere. Heck, I'm in college. Tons of girls like me that will just drool at the sight of these sweet little kittens--and a lot of guys will too. They're the cuddliest cats I've ever seen.

11. I firmly beleive that one of cat's main goals in life is
too run around your legs and make sure you are tripped when your walking in the dark. I swear, every time I am walking in a darkened hallway I am sure there is a cat like 6 inches in front of me.

One of the many reasons I'm a dog person (I dont particularly mind cats, I just like dogs much better)

13. My cats are smart about it.
On days when I'm on my crutches they stay out of my way. They just know that it's not safe to walk near my feet.

On days when I'm only using a cane they wrapped around me all the time. I have accidentally punted one cat or another more times... almost as many times as they've tripped me.

Wonderful little beasts.
