1. eek!
Glad it went well - hadda be a bit unpleasant and unnerving, though.

Is it only women who get gallbladder problems?

4. I think that it is more common in women
But it is not exclusive to women.

5. in the er, they tried 3 different pain meds
the last one was morphine and it didn't touch the pain. but it was interesting. my head was swimming over here and the pain was somewhere across the room in my tummy. they sent me home with a vicodin script. i'm only taking one every 6 hours as that's all i seem to need. just sore when i get up out of bed is all.

i was actually scheduled to have it out this thursday. but saturday morning at 4 a.m., the gb had other plans. i was in the op room by 9 a.m. i'm glad it's over with.

7. I'll be good
For some time now, I've been a healthy choice kinda gal. I plan on continuing that as it's made me feel very good. Watching the Food Channel today, I'm aghast at how much fat they use in the meals.

I'm glad to hear that your wife's experience went well and she's been doing great. It's very encouraging!

8. had mine out a few years ago
and my naughty eating habits are the same - no problems there. Painfull eh? I'd say it ranks up there with childbirth but my absolute worst was a kidney stone. Yeesh. Morhpine worked good for that. Had demerol for the gall bladder. (Nothing for the childbirths wtf???)

Had a grandfather with same problem but the nurse when I went for about the third time to the emergency room said "fat, forty, and female - its your gall bladder" Doc thought it was impacted bowel. Week later back again - it was the GB, nurse was right.

11. Yes - I have a great book called "1912"
It's all about that election of 1912 - TR, Taft, Wilson and Debbs. I don't know about the authors personal politics but he's very favorable to TR and his Progressive ideas.

Thanks for your good thoughts!
