So, good news on my terrifying financial front
Edited on Sun Sep-12-04 11:10 PM by HEyHEY
I can't remember if I already posted this....but, my folks offered to co-sign to get a loan for me to pay everything off - my dad figures it'll be about $330 a month over four years. So I'll save an extra 170 a paycheque and my balance will actually GO DOWN, cause I won't be using my credit card to survive...so yeah, I'm a happy camper!

I can't wait to actually SAVE money. Then I can stay in this little town for an extra four months for the resume points, then I can take off!

I must say it is the most amazing feeling, having that burden taken off my back.....

3. Wel, seeing as how I won't be going to university again - I doubt it!
And if I do go it'll be with a bankroll saved.

That's the other cool thing! I can keep being a journalist!

2. Financial debt burdens are a very heavy burden
more than a lot of other types of burdens we take on, the financial debt one is really nasty, psychologically and emotionally.

Congratulations!!

13. seriously considering it
if lawsuits calm down and health insurance isn't reformed i'll either stay in the states and do plastics or come back to New Zealand and do some other surgery.

Hmmm if I dont go back to the states..... I dont have to pay the loans! Sure I'd be an international fugitive... but hey! Free ride!

12. Set up 'out of network' or have parallel 'out of network' patients.
Anybody with any personalitiy or talent plus personality does well 'out of network' in areas that can pay the freight, e.g., DC, SF, LA, NYC, CHI, etc. If you have a specialty that's in demand or if your a psychiatrist, you're golden. If not, figure out how to do it. This is a big trend (I'm in mental health) and it also maximizes your opportunity to get paid what your actually worth. Good luck!!!

14. I was actually planning on going to NY for residency!
Edited on Sun Sep-12-04 11:36 PM by onebigbadwulf
I keep getting these inexplicable callings in life. That's how I ended up in NZ in the first place.

But yeah, I always kept psych in the back of my mind. Could you explain more about this network thing?
