Poll question: Have you ever watched the same infomercial more than once?
Have you watched the same infomercial more than once? If yes, which one? For me it's the Esteban guitar and the Chef Tony miracle blade chopper.

1. I hate infomercials

But I'm not "too good for tv". I watch a hell of a lot of tv. I just don't consider ads to be entertainment--they're something to be avoided.

2. I have...
There is one food processor one that I have watched several times, most recently this morning...I can't for the life of me remember what the product is called, but every time I watch it I really want to buy it cause it makes salsa, frozen drinks and can grind concrete in less than 5 seconds!!!

the sweater guy with the crazy Australian guy. I can appreciate incredible salesmanship. Those two guys would sell everything from cookware to spray paint for baldies. Absolutely amazing. Can you imagine if someone hired them to manage their presidential campaign?

5. Oh and this predates infomercials
but as a kid in the 1970s and early 1980s I was totally fascinated with the Ronco Inside-the-Egg Electric Egg Scrambler. Every time I'd see that commercial* I'd sit there in utter amazement and think to myself, "it's a little $1 electric hobby motor. They didn't even bother to disguise the shaft. How come when I think of crap like this my parents look at me like I'm nuts and these guys make millions!?"

*On a related note, why did they always advertise Ronco stuff during Saturday morning cartoons? Did they really think the Scooby Doo and Schoolhouse Rock crowd was their demographic?

On another note, I see they have revived this marvel of technology, but it's a little more dressed up this time.

10. when I was about 11 or 12
I thought infomercials were the coolest thing ever. I had a video tape of the Richard Simmons 'Deal a Meal Plan', Amazing Discoveries "Auri Car Polish", and some Kitchen Gadget/Gizmo that piqued my interest in cooking.

I watched them when I had nothing else to do.

I'm hooked! I'm mesmerized! Acre Lot for $7900 on a lake I can't even find on my damn map.

ÒBoy, am I one happy excited camper.Ó

ÒWhat a sensational slice of God's good earth.Ó

ÒThis is a safe and peaceful environment far removed from the crime, violence, and gangs of the city. With no smog, no traffic jams...Ó

ÒThe most friendly decent people you'll ever meet.Ó

ÒIt's a dream come true.Ó

ÒI wouldn't trade it for nothinÕ.Ó

ÒThe last frontier. It's a good place to live.Ó

ÒThe most important ingredient is you, Y-O-U.Ó

Ò...rainbow-colored panoramic views and vistas as far as the human eye can see.Ó

ÒYou can fill your lungs with crystal-clear clean air so pure and wholesome it will cleanse your mind and body.Ó

ÒI mean that, I mean what I say with every fiber of my being.Ó

ÒIf there's any piece or portion of this planet that could actually and honestly be called God's country, this gray-haired old man, he is standing smack-dab in the middle of it right now.Ó

ÒLet's you and me talk about the good stuff you're gonna get.Ó

ÒThis is one of the few places left where a handshake means something and people take you at your word.Ó

ÒWherever you look there are photo-ops.Ó

ÒThere's no rush. There's no need to be in a rush.Ó

ÒPretty exciting, huh?Ó

ÒIt's really do-able.Ó

ÒI know everything you've seen looks like a Hollywood setÑtoo perfect.Ó

ÒThis is real.Ó

I was bored and too lazy to do anything. Pray for me, people. That Ultimate Chopper is cool! Have you seen those cool knives? I know, I need help.
