Ok- who wants to rescue two nice little kittens? Nashville area.
I WILL DELIVER IF NEARBY!
I found two kittens on the side of a country road today. No houses within a half a mile and these guys can't be but 1 or 2 months old. They were dumped.(I wonder if the cold hearted son of a bitch sang "born free" as he/she drove away) I would like to keep them but I have six rescued dogs and three are under a year old, I would be worried about a kittycide happening before I could intervene. They are VERY sweet cats, after a minute in my truck they were getting comfortable and climbing all over me. I will post some pictures tommorow after I re-install my camera software.
Just kidding, I would have to go with second day air. I don't rock at all. I just couldn't live with myself if these little guys (don't know the sex yet) were killed because I didn't care. I hope that a majority of people would do the same. Check back tommorow for a picture or two.
What do you call the ones that have the black stripes and grey/green hair? Right now my dog Larry is sitting by the cage watching them intently. I think he likes them.
You can find a list of rescue groups at petfinder.com. Just type in your zip code, and click on "cat" for the type of animals, and you should be able to find a rescue willing and able to take these two.
THANK YOU!!!!!! Thanks for stopping and helping. So many wouldn't...
I was speeding and a State trooper busted me. I pulled off the road to a side road so he wouldn't get whacked by a car. He wrote me up and I kept hearing meows. I turned around to go on my way and there they were. I stopped and got out, one came to me right away and I put him/her (I don't know them well enough to check) in the truck. The other was being difficult. The Trooper came back by and stopped, he helped me catch the other one and we were on our way. I did mention to the trooper that the speeding ticket was worth it after all. He laughed about that.
It WAS by choice that you did something for these 2 animals. So many would've taken the ticket and sped away. ANNNNNNNND, it was work...you had to catch the second one. How may wouldn't have done that? You're a hero.
and search for animal rescue groups in your state. I just found a home for a kitten which was dumped in my back yard by posting with a few animal rescue groups in Georgia.
