1. The only company with closer ties to the Chimp than Dell
...is Fear Channel, which was literally founded with BCE money.

3. Pity
Along with Adobe, I now gather Palm Inc is slowly shying away from Apple. :wow:

This isn't a good sign for Apple, if other big name companies won't support it.

Palm I can almost understand (the market for PDAs on a Mac must be niche at best) but Adobe?! (They've cut a couple of product, Premiere being the one I remember most because I use Premiere 6.5 on my PC...)

(I like OS X, I love competition (I miss the pre-1995 days when we had Amiga, Atari ST, Mac, Piece of Crap (PC), et al), but what is Apple doing (or not doing) which in turn drives developers away? Everybody should know by now that it's the software applications that drive the market, not what runs the application. Microsoft knows that (which is why they only support Mac in a tokenistic way and avoid Linux like the plague. They know that supporting Linux would significantly harm their OS sales, and rightly so.)

4. My answer is "other"
As a resident of Austin, I don't even want to think what would happen to our cities economy if Dell went under. But FWIW, they are in the process of bringing their tech support back to the US. First line tech support will no longer be outsourced to India. They finally figured out that it doesn't matter how much money you save if your system doesn't WORK.

people they hire will be paid a lot less for doing the same STRESSFUL job.

Either way, they still win.

Freedom 'em.

Edit: Added (helped) and grammar

Edit2: Changed one word in the name of civility. O8)

6. I've got a Dell at work
government contract went to Dell (what a surprise that is!), and had it break twice now in under a year! and every time I call customer service, their computers are down. I always ask them if they're using Dell too...

but the best damn non-Mac computer company God ever gave man. Macs are the stuff of greatness, but if you must use a PC, get a Dell. Why are we supposed to hate Dell again? Or Wal-Mart, or Microsoft...nevr mind, scratch that last one.
