Note: I'm only separating the poll by gender because it's generally said that men like the Stooges more than women do.

Shemp was totally underrated!! Although Curly was the best Stooge

9. I go back and forth between Shemp and Curly

they were definitely the two best. My favorite short is Malice in the Palace, with Shemp and Moe as waiters and Larry as the cook, followed by Disorder in the Court, with Curly at his funniest.

...1950s. Eons ago, of course, at the Granada Theater in Chicago. Sadly, the Granada is long gone -- it was on the northeast corner of Devon and Sheridan on the Far North Side.

I am still around, though.

I don't care how inane, sophomoric, and downright stupid their humor gets. I still have fun watching them. It's one of my guiltiest pleasures.

I always considered the Stooges/Male/Female question a chromosome thing.

I (female) really dislike the Stooges but grew up with several brothers. BTW, I saw those brothers become aggressive using the Stooges cues.

George W. has roundly displaced displaced the Stooges. He IS the Stooges with the world's largest nyuck-nyuck-nyuck nook-u-lar two-fingered poke to the eyes of the entire world.
