I just got hooked up with cable internet access. It's blazing fast. When I'm surfing the pages come up almost instantaneously. I downloaded a new browser in two minutes.

If they could make this cheaper and available in more areas it would make dial up obsolete.

I seriously recomend getting cable if it's within the budget and available in your area. You'll wonder how you ever got by without it.

like you said , its blazing fast . But beware if you get cable internet , you are more likely to become addicted to the DU , worse than you ever were before ...

Sometimes I forgot that I downloaded something because its downloaded so fast . With Dial-Up it would take me forever ...

3. DSL

In theory Cable is faster, but the more persons using cable Internet the slower it goes, so go DSL (use a T line myself)

5. I'm thrilled with my DSL

I had Earthstink DSL before but had to shut it off because I just couldn't afford it, and ended up going back to dialup...man you don't know what you have 'till it's gone...

I got Verizon DSL a couple of months ago and I'm in heaven. I could never go back to dialup again.

It's usually not as fast as you're saying, but I wouldn't trade it. It's very good.
